We are proud to present this new album of live material recorded between August 2009 and January 2010, featuring Doug Stailey on cello! It features a nice combination of composed songs and long improvs.
Details: Tracks 1 and 2 recorded at Avant Fairfax Festival in Fairfax, VA on 8/22/09. Track 3 recorded at Electric Possible at Bossa in Washington, DC, 1/11/10. Tracks 4 and 5 recorded at a Sonic Circuits show at Pyramid Atlantic in Silver Spring, MD on 11/1/09. All tracks recorded by Steve Sanford.

Moon Pie’s first release to be unleashed upon the world is our self-released “EP CDR”, an E.P. CD-R., which we first began distributing in October 2008. Every copy features an entirely unique collage-decorated, handmade cloth cover and no two are alike. The copy pictured here was the first one created and is now in the hands of Will Cullen Hart of Olivia Tremor Control fame. The track “Pleasant Pheasant” is only available on the internet release of the EP.
